Gluten Free and Toddler Approved Snack Ideas

Need a little inspiration when it comes to finding quick, easy and nutritious gluten free snack items to add to your little one’s menu? With how notoriously picky toddlers can be, having to work around a dietary restriction can make it seem near impossible to come up with ideas. I’ve compiled this list of food items that I can quickly reference, whether I’m working on my family’s meal plan for the week, building a grocery list, or just in need of some inspiration. Have no fear, there are plenty of nutritious options your little one will love. 

  • Tuna salad on cucumber slices
  • Peanut butter on apples
  • Peanut butter on celery
  • Cream cheese spread on gluten free rice cakes
  • Cottage cheese
  • Yogurt with gluten free granola
  • Veggie Straws
  • Carrot and celery sticks with hummus
  • Deli roll-ups (deli meat rolled around cheese, with mayo and mustard)
  • Dried fruit and nut mixes
  • Hard boiled eggs

  • Gluten Free Granola Bar Snack Bites found here
  • No Bake Energy Bites – there are tons of variations for these found online. My kids love this one from Gimme Some Oven – just be sure to use gluten free oats

Of course there are many other options out there! This list includes some of my kids’ favorites. I’m always on the hunt for more!
